Privacy Policy & Terms of Trade

This Policy discloses the privacy practices and terms of trade for Rosetta Group including the businesses trading as:

Rosetta Plumbing, TasGas Centre, Hobart Air, Rosetta Hydronic Heating, and All Building Maintenance & Projects. These businesses are all managed under the ‘Rosetta Group’ Propriety Limited company and may simply be referred to as Rosetta Group or RG or any individual business name in any correspondence.

Rosetta Group may change this policy from time to time as it sees fit. You may wish to check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes that may have been made. This document is effective from: 01/06/2022.


Our current standard hourly rates for ‘do and charge works’ are as follows:

  • $110 per/hr minimum charge
  • $180 per/hr for Plumber and apprentice
  • $220 per/hr for 2 x plumbers
  • $140 per/hr for any gas fitting works
  • $140 per/hr for any air conditioning works
  • $140 per/hr for any hydronic heating works
  • All Credit Card / EFTPOS card payments attract a 1.5% surcharge
  • Other discretionary (non-standard) rates may apply as required
  • We reserve the right to charge for quotations for any works to be calculated at the above hourly rates
  • All figures are subject to an additional GST (currently 10%)
  • Labour rates are charged in 15 min increments rounded up
  • We charge travel time to and from our office in Chapel St, Glenorchy
  • Travel time rates are the same labour rates as stated above
  • The above rates do not include works outside of the times 7.30 am – 4 pm (A/H works)
  • Outside of the above-mentioned times higher rates apply…. please seek clarification if required.

These rates are labour rates only and do not include any cost for: materials, special orders, sundries, plant and equipment, tool charges, mileage, hire fees, admin fees etc. We reserve the right to vary these rates at any time without notice.


We may collect the following information from you:

  • Your name
  • Contact information including email address and phone number
  • Your address including job address, postal address and billing address
  • Billing information and credit or debit card numbers to open a credit account with Rosetta Group Pty Ltd.
  • Other information relevant to helping us provide the best customer service – And any other information that you give to us.


We require this information to understand your needs, to provide you with better service, and to open a credit account before we provide you with any goods or services. And in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services
  • Supply to you products and services that you request
  • Internal record keeping – Answer or provide information requested through an enquiry
  • Process payment on invoices older than 7 days where payment has not been received for goods and services provided.
  • Quality control and training purposes


All incoming and outgoing telephone conversations with Rosetta Group (including all business entities) are recorded. You will be advised that the call is being recorded. Your continuation of the call after receipt of that advice will be deemed by Rosetta Group to constitute your consent to the recording of the call. If you do not wish your conversation to be recorded, please advise our staff member. We will not provide this recording to any party unless we are required to do so by law. These recordings are stored by our phone provider on their storage systems. From time to time, they may be downloaded and stored by Rosetta Group.


To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.


We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so. Rosetta Group may disclose information provided by you to a credit reporting agency to obtain consumer and commercial information permitted by the Privacy Act and to use such information in order to assess an application for credit.


Upon booking in work with Rosetta Group including Rosetta Plumbing, TasGas Centre and Hobart Air or Rosetta Hydronic Heating, you will be required to pay for the works either prior to commencement, or at the end of the task on the day the works take place (at sole discretion of RG management). This payment may be by cash, cheque, credit or debit card. If you wish to pay by debit card, please request this at time of booking the works so we are able to bring the EFTPOS terminal with us to your job.

In some cases, Rosetta Group may extend to you a 7 day trade account for your payment convenience. We secure the account payment by taking down the details of a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card. If we have provided you with a trade account, payment must be made within 7 days of invoice date by cash, cheque, credit or debit card or EFT into our nominated bank account as per the payment details section of the invoice.

If payment is not received in full within 7 days of the invoice date, Rosetta Group will endeavour to contact you using the contact details you have provided to us. This may include a second invoice which clearly states that payment is required urgently. Rosetta Group reserves the right to charge any outstanding amounts to the credit card details provided by you when starting the account without any further contact with you.

Should the account not be paid by the due date and we are unable to process payment on the credit card details provided, the account may be lodged with Tasmanian Collection Service (or other agency as we see fit) for recovery. In such circumstances the customer will bear all costs of this action. In addition, you agree to bear all legal costs and disbursements incurred in the recovery of the debt.

Rosetta Group may disclose information provided by you to a credit reporting agency to obtain consumer and commercial information permitted by the Privacy Act and to use such information in order to assess an application for credit.

Where a debt is lodged with Tasmanian Collection Service (or other agency) for recovery, Rosetta Group will give authority for the debt to be listed on your credit report file.


We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it when necessary. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If the company is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new company/owners so that Rosetta Group may continue to service your needs and requirements.
